Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement. With Conghua Racecourse and Greater Bay Area expansion, we’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.
The Department
The Racing Club is a high-profile business initiative aimed at nurturing the interest of a new generation of young and affluent racing fans and grooming them to be the next generation of horse-owning Members and race-goers. It was set up in 2007 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the HK Jockey Club with its own Board of Directors.
The Racing Club also has a wholly-owned subsidiary itself, namely The Racing Club Horse Management Limited, which will own and manage at least three race horses. The directors of these companies comprise of Voting Members appointed by the Racing Club’s Board of Directors.
The Racing Club operations essentially have 3 functions:
- Members’ recruitment and servicing
- Members’ events (racing and non-racing)
- Club horse management
The Job
• Formulates customer retention strategies to enhance member engagement through targeted programs and feedback mechanisms.
• Conceptualize, plan, and lead the delivery of premium event experiences spanning race-day activations, racing-related programs, and lifestyle events to deepen members’ engagement in racing, ownership, and networking.
• Collaborate with relevant segments to develop programs that drive member engagement and Club Horse activities, including stable visits, horse naming, and Racing Registry logistics.
• Developed and executed the communication strategy, leading the team to produce high-quality content for member channels and external channels, while overseeing timely, creative updates across platforms to project a youthful, stylish premium brand and boost awareness and engagement.
• Support the Senior Manager in developing and executing brand strategy, partnership initiatives, and innovative programs to strengthen and elevate the Club’s overall value proposition.
• Maintain strong member relationships, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Ensure full compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy and all legal wagering requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
About You
• Bachelor degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality or related discipline
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in marketing environment, e.g. private clubs, credit card loyalty programme, hospitality and event industry, etc.
• Proven experience in event management, loyalty marketing / CRM and knowledge in interactive customer experience
• Knowledge in event-hosting experience, including PR and managing of media options
• Ability to work in non-office hours on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
