Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Charities and Community (C&C) Division manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust. C&C works with the Government, NGOs, and community partners to proactively identify root causes of social issues and address them through innovative approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.
The Department
The department focuses on achieving the Club's vision as a world-class charity and community benefactor solving Metropolitan social issues with innovations.
Reporting to the Executive Manager or their higher delegate(s), the job holder is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support.
The Job
- Provide administration and clerical support to the Executive Manager(s) and the team.
- Assist Managers / Assistant Executives on the preparation of reports and findings, and maintenance of records for the Club's management team.
- Maintain a repository of documentations for audit purposes, including but not limited to agreements, progress reports, and project publications etc.
- Work with the team on the implementation of stakeholder engagement, including liaison with industry partners, government, community leaders.
- Support team clerical work, including assisting the Deputy Executive Managers to schedule meetings and handle clerical tasks such as filing, team meeting arrangements, staff onboarding administration, booking venues, bookkeeping, managing project data, budget/financial management, and meeting arrangements.
About You
- Tertiary education with a minimum of 5 years of solid experience in secretarial / administrative duties.
- Excellent communication skills (in both English and Chinese) and interpersonal skills.
- High working efficiency.
- Positive, cheerful and have excellent working attitude.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office applications and proficiency with PowerPoint.
- Organised, self-motivated, detail-conscious and independent.
- Interested in the work of the Jockey Club Charities Trust.
