Deputy Executive Manager, Charities (Health)
Job Summary
Reporting to Executive Manager, Charities (Health; Sustainability; Mainland & Global Programmes), the job holder is primarily responsible for monitoring project progress, ensuring compliance with governance safeguards, maintaining robust control over grant conditions throughout the project lifecycle and supporting publicity and communications related to the Life and Health Academic Research Building at the Northern Metropolis University Town.
The Job
- Coordinates the planning and commissioning of the Life and Health Academic Research Building, including monitoring progress, budget and agreed deliverables as well as identifying potential risks or deviations for timely management action;
- Supports the establishment and ongoing governance for the Life and Health Academic Research Building;
- Acts as a key liaison point with Government bureaux/departments, external agencies and internal divisions within the Club, facilitating communication, coordinating submissions, and ensuring alignment with grant conditions, as well as funding and reporting requirements;
- Compiles and consolidates relevant progress, financial, and performance reports, as well as papers for submission to senior management;
- Undertakes research, prepares briefing materials, drafts speeches and supports the communication and publicity regarding the Life and Health Academic Research Building; and
- Performs any other duties as assigned
About You
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 8-12 years' experience in project governance, capital works management and stakeholder liaison, preferably within the public sector or a large corporate entity
- Extensive experience in dealing/working with government, external agencies, NGOs, education sector and/or professional bodies
- Proven track record in supporting complex, multi-year projects involving governance, budget control and risk management would be an advantage
- Strong ability to interface with people with various functions and levels
- Strong project governance and management skills
- Knowledge in government policies and insights on community service needs, particularly the public health and elderly services
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong research, analytical and reporting skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills, with experience in preparing publicity and communication materials
