Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Charities and Community (C&C) Division manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust. C&C works with the Government, NGOs, and community partners to proactively identify root causes of social issues and address them through innovative approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.
The Job
- Lead team operations by overseeing and managing daily operations of event teams, providing direction, training, and support to ensure service excellence and achievement of organizational goals.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement by collaborating with various internal departments and external stakeholders to design and implement engagement plans that enhance relationships and promote organizational initiatives.
- Manage event planning and execution by planning, organizing, and executing signature events and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and effective communication across all channels.
- Monitor performance and standards by maintaining high service standards, tracking customer satisfaction and KPIs, and implementing continuous improvement strategies for events.
- Budget and resource management by managing event budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring adherence to financial targets and optimizing cost-effectiveness.
- Report preparation and analysis by preparing regular reports on event performance, budgeting, and marketing efforts to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance and best practices by upholding compliance with relevant policies and regulations while implementing best practices in event management across various projects.

Plan, supervise, and evaluate the effectiveness of multi-channel publicity campaigns to amplify project impact and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with internal divisions to support joint campaigns and initiatives that build awareness and reinforce the Club’s philanthropic leadership and community contributions.
- Work closely with the editorial group and Charities Programme Teams to develop compelling content and impact stories for the Charities & Community Content Hub.
- Oversee the preparation of content for the Trust’s section in the Club’s Annual Report and other key corporate publications.
- Plan and oversee the professional development of team members to enhance skills in communications and storytelling.
- Manage the team’s budget, procurement, and operational processes to ensure seamless execution of communication initiatives
About You
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years of managerial or relevant experience in hospitality, communications, events management, or public affairs.
- Experience in sizable operations, not-for-profit organizations, or public sectors is preferred.
- Strong passion in charities and community services.
