Assistant Charities Manager
Job Summary
The job holder is primarily responsible for supporting in processing donation requests and executing grant-making functions. This involves conducting research on social issues and new initiatives to identify potential projects and contribute to strategic development for optimizing the impact of the Trust and/or Institute of Philanthropy (IoP). The job holder will compile reports, monitor progress and expenditures of approved projects, and coordinate meetings with NGOs, government departments, and other stakeholders.
Major Tasks
- Support line manager in processing donation requests and carrying out grant-making functions.
- Assist in conducting research on social issues and new initiatives to support the development of new projects or theme/issue strategies.
- Contribute to the development of strategies and work plans to optimize the beneficial impact of the contributions made by the Trust and/or the Institute of Philanthropy (IoP).
- Compile reports and monitor the progress and expenditure of approved charities or community projects according to the project plans.
- Contact and coordinate meetings with NGOs, government departments, and other stakeholders.
- Help consolidate and analyze internal institutional knowledge materials and prepare presentation materials to communicate findings, curating and translating content for different audience groups.
- Support administrative processes, coordinating with other Club divisions in key areas such as budget monitoring and reporting, vendor engagement and procurement, and branding and communications.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, board papers, presentations, and provide secretarial support for any committees and working groups of the Programme.
Education
A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Qualifications
Experience
A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to NGOs and/or social service settings.
