Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Corporate Affairs (CA) Division strengthens the strategic development and positioning of the Club as a world-class racing club and charity organisation, through engaging key stakeholders in both Hong Kong and the Mainland, and maintaining efficient and effective corporate communications.
Job Summary
The job holder assists in formulating and implementing strategies to facilitate the operations and sustainability of horse race betting, football betting and Mark Six lotteries as well as new business initiatives.
The Job
- Assisting in formulating and implementing strategies to facilitate the operations and sustainability of horse race betting, football betting and Mark Six lotteries as well as new business initiatives.
- Handling licencing matters and liaising with the Government to sustain business development and ensure smooth business operations.
- Fostering the Government's and relevant stakeholders’ understanding on the Club’s Integrated Business Model and building and maintaining a network of relationship with the Government and relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting Club-wide projects with a view to furthering the Club’s contribution to social betterment.
About You
- University degree in related discipline preferably in public administration, communications or relevant qualifications.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in government relations, corporate communications, external relations, public administration or journalism.
- Understanding of betting policy of the HKSAR Government.
- Ability to engage and establish rapport with the Government, stakeholders and organisations of different backgrounds, interests and expectations.
- Experience and capability in project planning and execution.
