The Division
The Corporate Affairs (CA) Division strengthens the strategic development and positioning of the Club as a world-class racing club and charity organisation, through engaging key stakeholders in both Hong Kong and the Mainland, and maintaining efficient and effective corporate communications.
Job Summary
The Social Media Management Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the Club's social media policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated. Leading the Social Media Custodian Team, this role serves as both the execution arm and internal regulator of social media activities, providing oversight and guidance. The manager will support the Club’s Social Media Risk Governance Committee by offering secretariat assistance and preparing social media analytics management reports.
This position involves continuous monitoring of the Club’s social media platforms and external presence, conducting reputation risk assessments to safeguard the brand’s image. The Social Media Management Manager will also provide data mining and analytic support for daily current affairs reports, delivering valuable insights to management. Additionally, the role requires reporting on market trends and developments within the external social media landscape to keep stakeholders informed. Overall, this position is crucial for managing the Club’s social media strategy and ensuring its alignment with organizational goals.
The Job
- Accountable in establishing and periodically reviewing Club’s social media policies and procedures
- Lead the Social Media Custodian Team as execution arm as well as internal policy regulator
- Provide secretariat support to Club’s Social Media Risk Governance Committee
- Provide social media analytics management reports
- Responsible for round the clock social media monitoring and reputation risk assessments for Club’s social media platforms as well as external presences
- Provide data mining and analytic support for the Club’s daily current affairs monitoring reports to the management
- Report to Club’s stakeholders the market trends and evolutions in the external social media ecosystems
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Studies, Digital Media of related discipline and relevant qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in social media analytics, digital marketing, or communications, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Experience in law, public policy, or data governance structures
- Demonstrated ability to centralise and analyse performance data across multiple platforms and accounts
- Familiarity with social media governance, policy development, and reputation risk management
- Exposure to external market intelligence reporting, including monitoring trends and evolutions in the social media ecosystem
- Sensitivity to social and political dynamics with good media knowledge
- Understanding of platform specific metrics and algorithms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, WeChat, XHS, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Excellent command of written English and Chinese
- Hands-on skills in both web and social analytic tools
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge in horse racing and football is a strong advantage
