Manager, Social Media Performance and Analytics

The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. The Division

The Corporate Affairs (CA) Division strengthens the strategic development and positioning of the Club as a world-class racing club and charity organisation, through engaging key stakeholders in both Hong Kong and the Mainland, and maintaining efficient and effective corporate communications.​​​

Job Summary

Reporting to Deputy Executive Manager, the job holder will be responsible for strengthening the Club’s digital and social media presence, in support of Public Affairs Departments’ integral function to safeguard and promote corporate reputation, as well as supporting the formulation and execution of the Club’s social media strategy, leveraging data‑driven insights to drive business priorities and expand audience engagement over time.

The role will design and implement a data-driven analytics framework to evaluate and enhance social media performance. By centralising and analysing data across major Club-wide profiles and campaigns, the manager will generate actionable insights to amplify positive publicity and reinforce the Club’s core business pillars: World Class Racing, Entertainment & Experience, and Racing Tourism.

In addition, the successful candidate may contribute to social media governance, serving as custodian of the Club’s social media policies and procedural guidelines, depending on their skill set.

The Job

  • Centralise and analyse Club-wide social media performance - Lead the consolidation of data across major Club profiles and campaigns, with a strong emphasis on major racedays and campaigns. Build and maintain in-depth reporting structures that assess engagement, reach, content effectiveness, and platform-specific performance to provide a holistic view of the Club’s digital impact.
  • Maintain, implement, and enhance the social media analytics framework - Support the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive analytics framework to evaluate the Club’s social media performance. Establish clear operating guidelines and reporting workflows to ensure consistency, reliability, and actionable insights across all platforms.
  • Conduct in-depth post-campaign reviews for major racedays and events - Deliver timely and detailed reports following major raceday and campaigns, highlighting key metrics, audience behaviours, and content drivers. Ensure findings are accurate, consistent, and actionable, serving as a foundation for strategic decision-making and campaign refinement.
  • Generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations - Translate complex analytics into clear, practical recommendations that guide content planning and platform strategies. Provide strategic direction to enhance audience engagement and support the Club’s core business pillars, ensuring the analytics report delivers meaningful guidance for future campaigns.
  • Identify trends and audience behaviours across platforms - Monitor and interpret evolving audience behaviours, content drivers, and platform-specific trends. Use these insights to anticipate shifts in engagement and proactively adjust strategies to maximise impact and relevance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional content teams - Partner with various social media channel owners, content teams, and stakeholders to validate insights and align recommendations with campaign objectives. Facilitate feedback loops to ensure strategies are targeted, effective, and responsive to audience needs
  • Social media governance and reputation risk management - Serve as custodian of the Club’s social media policies and procedures by establishing, maintaining, and periodically reviewing governance frameworks. Act as an internal policy regulator, monitoring social media channel activities and conducting reputation risk assessments across both Club-owned platforms and external presences.
  • Report external market trends and ecosystem evolutions - Provide regular updates to Club stakeholders on emerging trends, platform developments, and shifts in the external social media landscape. Ensure the Club remains agile and responsive to changes in the digital ecosystem, leveraging insights to refine strategies and maintain competitive positioning.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Studies, Data Analytics, Digital Media, or related discipline
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in social media analytics, digital marketing, or communications, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing analytics frameworks, reporting workflows, and data governance structures
  • Experience in conducting post campaign reviews and generating actionable insights for large scale events or campaigns (e.g., sports, entertainment, tourism)
  • Demonstrated ability to centralise and analyse performance data across multiple platforms and accounts
  • Familiarity with social media governance, policy development, and reputation risk management
  • Exposure to external market intelligence reporting, including monitoring trends and evolutions in the social media ecosystem
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools (Meta for Business, Google Analytics, Sprinklr, or equivalent) and strong data analysis skills with experience in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms
  • Understanding of platform specific metrics and algorithms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, WeChat, XHS, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (including using PowerPoint), with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate trends and proactively adjust strategies. Sensitivity to social and political dynamics with good media knowledge
  • High attention to detail, organisational skills, muti-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of horse racing and football is a definite advantage
