Part-time Administrative Assistant

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Charities and Community (C&C) Division manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust. C&C works with the Government, NGOs, and community partners to proactively identify root causes of social issues and address them through innovative approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.

The Department

The job holder shall be responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution of publicity and promotion initiatives for the JC InnoPower project in 2026, by coordinating with internal stakeholders, marketing agencies and event organisers. Ensure all activities are strictly aligned with the project’s 2026 Strategic Plan, to enhance project visibility and achieve its community-focused objectives.

The Job

  • Coordinate cross-party collaboration with marketing agencies and event organisers to plan, execute and monitor JC InnoPower publicity programmes and activities; maintain consistent communication and ensure full alignment with the 2026 project roadmap.
  • Support the development and iterative implementation of targeted publicity and promotion strategies; adapt tactics proactively to reflect the core priorities of the JC InnoPower 2026 Strategic Plan.
  • Collect, synthesise and analyse feedback; leverage insights to refine publicity activities, optimising their reach, audience engagement and strategic impact.
  • Assist in the collation, curation and quality assurance of promotional materials (including project updates, campaign content, marketing collateral, impact stories, etc.); ensure strict consistency with the projects brand identity, core values and 2026 strategic direction.
  • Prepare and distribute regular progress reports on publicity and promotion activities to the project team; proactively identify potential risks or delays and propose actionable mitigation solutions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by Manager.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Solid experience in the Social Welfare Sector and/or Education Sector, with hand-on involvement in publicity, promotion, or integrated marketing functions (e.g. planning, campaigns, managing promotional materials, executing stakeholder engagement activities).
  • Authentic passion for community support and volunteer service, with a clear commitment to aligning work outputs with the JC InnoPower 2026 Strategic Plan.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and solution-driven mindset, with the ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative attitude, able to work effectively in a part-time capacity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, with meticulous proofreading and editing capabilities to ensure accuracy and brand consistency of all materials.
  • Proven track record in cross-party coordination, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external agencies and event organisers.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent tasks independently and meet tight deadlines consistently.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and community-focused initiatives is an advantage.
