Public Affairs Officer (Corporate Communications and Media Relations)
Job Summary
The job holder supports the development and implementation of communication strategies and assignments to uphold and strengthen the Club’s positioning as a world class racing and charity organisation, and to fulfil its purpose of "acting continuously for the betterment of the society'1 through its unique integrated business model.
The Job
You will:
- Support various Public Affairs initiatives such as preparing of media communications materials to drive positive publicity for the Club and strengthen the Club’s brand image.
- Support the media engagement efforts and maintain relationships with media and opinion formers to maximize the Club's PR mileage and mitigate potentially negative issues.
- Support the team in the timely delivery of corporate publications/ collaterals such as the Club-supported magazine Striding On, etc.
- Officer in charge of a full spectrum of administration works including procurement, document preparation, data entry and filing; housekeeping of materials for media engagement; and the timely update and input of quotations and invoices from vendors.
- Support the planning and implementation of the divisions culture transformation initiatives and communications.
- Undertake other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by management such as support for onsite event management.
About You
You should have:
- University degree in a related discipline or a relevant qualification equivalent to minimum of 4 years' experience in Public Affairs, Communications, administrative or related disciplines.
- Relevant experiences gained from large corporations or MNCs is preferred
- Be able to effectively communicate and liaise with multiple parties across departments at different levels
- Be able to handle sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner
- Strong self-motivation, detail-conscious, and good at multi-tasking
- A good team player
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedules
- Have excellent communication skills (in both English and Chinese) and interpersonal skills
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
