Due Diligence Analyst

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Security, Integrity and Information Security (SIIS) Division is responsible for the Club’s integrity by combatting criminality, corruption, and information security risks, including cyber security that may impact business. Through robust governance and proactive security measures, SIIS is dedicated to maintaining a secure environment and upholding uncompromising integrity across Club operations.

Job Summary

The job holder is responsible for performing due diligence activities, preparing due diligence reports to support of the department's objective and drive the business strategy for protecting the Club's integrity. Key responsibilities include performing due diligence checks based on the findings and providing recommendations for follow up actions.

The Job

  • Conduct due diligence checks on the Club's respective internal and external customers, in accordance with the guidelines and procedures outlined in the SOPs.
  • Under the line manager's supervision, identify and assess risks associated with due diligence targets based on findings, evaluating sources for accuracy, reliability, and relevance.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with findings with recommendation.
  • Provide regular updates on case status to the supervisor and address comments constructively.
  • Communicate and take actions on based on the recommendations.
  • Support other ad-hoc duties as tasked by the supervisor.

About You

  • A bachelor's degree in social science, journalism or other related disciplines.
  • With a minimum of 2 years of experience in investigative/deep-dive due diligence, compliance or journalism.
  • Relevant professional qualification is a plus (e.g. AAMLP/ACAMS certification).
