Job Summary
For SIIS
The Security, Integrity and Information Security Division (SIIS) is responsible for the preservation of integrity by combatting criminality and corruption risks that can threaten horse racing, betting, and membership at the Club. The maintenance of a secure environment and integrity is key to our business. Not only is it important to ensure horse racing in Hong Kong is fair, it is also of paramount importance to the Club that there is governance and fair opportunities in all bet-placements. The division consists of Corporate Security, Racing Security and Integrity Assurance, Integrity and Financial Crime Risk (FCR) and Information Security Risk and Assurance.
He/she is responsible for preparing due diligence reports independently to support of the department's objective of protecting the Club's integrity.
For WP
The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Football, Mark Six lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.
Under WP Division, the Divisional Business Strategy and Planning Department (DBSP) is driving the business planning of divisional and cross-departmental initiatives, and developing and executing strategies/initiatives to optimise business results with primary focuses on business analytics, performance tracking, portfolio oversight and customer due diligence
S/he is responsible for performing Customer Due Diligence activities and co-ordinating the Know Your Customers (KYC) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) efforts across SandI, CSII and within WP Division
Major Tasks
- Conduct due diligence checks on the Club's customers, prospective employees, Licensed Persons, and suppliers in accordance with the guidelines and procedures outlined in the Due Diligence Operations Manual and Standards.
- Under the line manager's supervision, identify and assess risks associated with due diligence targets based on findings, evaluating sources for accuracy, reliability, and relevance.
- Prepare security memos or reports in accordance with due diligence findings and recommended risk grading.
- Provide regular updates on case status to the supervisor and address comments constructively.
- Communicate case findings and key takeaways to the team during regular meetings.
- Adhere to turnaround times in alignment with Service Level Agreements with relevant Business Units.
- Support other ad-hoc duties, including various annual projects as tasked by the Senior Manager.
For SIIS:
- Act as the deputy of the S5 in their absence.
- Adhere to the SIIS Departmental Style Guide to ensure consistency in all written work.
For WP:
- Handle Requests for Information (RFI) raised by SIIS, including actions on text sending requests and freeze account requests, and notify relevant Customer Growth and Experience (CGE) Segment Managers.
- Establish CDD Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for the WP Division, gathering feedback and consolidating comments from stakeholders.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, and review proposals for management approval.
- Streamline procedures for CDD-related exercises, including Source of Wealth (SoW) SoP, referrals from SIIS, account usage for betting, recommendations for account closure, professional punters, and monitoring of betting account balances and withdrawal limits.
Education
A bachelor's degree in social science, journalism or other related disciplines.
Qualifications
Relevant professional qualification is a plus (e.g. AAMLP/ACAMS certification).
