Manager, Event Production

Job Summary

The Manager, Event Production, reporting to General Manager, Conghua Racecourse Grandstand Management, dotted line reporting to the Senior Manager, Mainland Customer Experience and Programmes, will also be a member of the Mainland Customer Experience and Programmes team under the Mainland Marketing and Members Strategy Department. The role is responsible for developing the program operating model and conducting simulation planning for all entertainment and program activities to be held in the CRC Grandstand.

Working closely with the team, the Manager will oversee and implement all entertainment program on both race days and non‑race days. Operational excellence, including the creation, refinement and implementation of processes is required.

The working location of this position is Guangzhou (including Conghua District) and business travel based on business need.

Major Tasks

  1. Supports the team on developing and executing entertainment and programming strategy that creates shareable experiences that excite and attract current and future target audiences. Partner with segments, i.e., HK Members, HK Owners, Racing Sponsors, Mainland Members & Owners, Mainland Corporate Segment, Young Upper Class (YUC) and Public etc. to ensure aligned and effective programming.
  2. Leads the appointed agency to execute the end-to-end programmes on Race-day, continuously monitor quality during event execution to ensure each aspect meets established standards, with an aim to provide unique and extraordinary experiences touching on their passion for the races with remarkably curated inspiring lifestyle experiences with the highest level of services, quality and elegance.
  3. Participants and gives inputs for customer journey and customer experience design according to programme strategies and programme highlights.
  4. Coordinates internally and externally on the planning and maintaining the detailed operation flows, manpower and logistics arrangement, and to maintain good relationship with working parties.
  5. Supports the team’s budget planning and expense control, as well as team’s operation and procurement exercises.
  6. Supports the team on formulating and coordinating pre-opening simulations and test scripts for responsible areas.
  7. Identifies and evaluates risks with the Senior Manager that could derail project delivery and providing solutions to prevent the risk.
  8. Maintains good communication with external parties such as event agencies, and venue providers, etc. to ensure the event complies with relevant laws and regulations.
  9. Organises post-event debrief with internal and external partners, to collect and summarize client feedback for continuous improvement reflected in future projects.
  10. Co-work with procurement team to complete the necessary procurement process without delay.
  11. Complies with all relevant laws and regulations in Mainland China under any circumstances. Follow and abide by the rules and regulations of the Club and the company.
  12. Completes other tasks arranged by the superior. 

Education

•    Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing & Management, or related disciplines.

Qualifications

•    Social & PR Medias expertise.
•    Exhibited understanding of Brand experience and Visual Merchandising, lifestyle advertising, media, and marketing planning for multiple generations.
•    Understanding of marketplace data and engagement schemes, along with immersive / activation programming.

•    In-depth knowledge in event and marketing programmes.
•    Well versed in social media channel adoption to marketing programmes.
•    Innovation in marketing campaigns and contents.
•    Familiar with the event production process, well understand the audio, video, lighting and other technical knowledge 
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Possess a creative mind, systematic and detail minded with well- organized personality with good execution skills.
•    High sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit, problem-solving abilities.
•    Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•    Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Cantonese will be an advantage.

Experience

•    A Minimum of 8 years in Event Management.
•    Experience in event marketing in PRC and overseas.
•    Demonstrated successful history of Creative Concept and Operation, and Communication and Execution skills.
