The Job

Business Performance Analysis

• Develop executive management reports on the wagering business trends (including racing, football, basketball, and lottery).
• Continuously track business performance against targets through core KPIs.
• Highlight emerging performance issues, including variances caused by event gaps, system behavior, customer mix shifts, or unexpected market dynamics.
• Provide actionable insights to support timely management decisions and strategic adjustments to facilitate business growth.

Data Mining

• Develop and maintain wagering product databases to meet business needs and ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Perform data mining and analysis to support ad-hoc analytical tasks, incident management and strategic programs.

Strategic Program Support

• Understand the new business changes and objectives.
• Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to specify user and business requirements for system development.
• Review the user and business requirements to ensure accurate and complete description.
• Perform UAT to ensure that the new systems accurately incorporate the user and business requirements.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support new products and projects funding approval.
• Keep track of financial performance and conduct post implementation review.

Task Automation / Continuous Improvement

• Streamline workflows and automate regular reports, analyses and financial models.
• Seek continuous improvement and provide value-added analyses.

Developing Self and Others

• Assist the Team Lead in monitoring progress against objectives, identifying potential risks or bottlenecks, and proposing solutions.
• Facilitate collaboration within the team by coordinating task execution, clarifying priorities, and ensuring alignment with overall goals.
• Guide team members through knowledge sharing and best practices to enhance capability.

About You

• Degree in a relevant discipline; Master's degree is a plus
• 5+ years of working experience in Finance, Data Analysis, Data Mining, or related disciplines
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
• Hands‑on experience with BI tools, including Tableau or Power BI
• Proficiency in data wrangling using Python or Alteryx is a plus
• Experience in project management
• Proficiency in database structures
