Assistant Business Planning and Analytics Manager (Retail)
The Department
The Customer Strategy, Insights, and Innovation (CSII) Division is dedicated to cultivating customer-centric capabilities across the Club ecosystem and shaping customer strategies that drive business growth. Through a data-driven approach, the Division strives to achieve a 360-degree understanding and insights of owners, members and wagering customers, enabling the seamless design of end-to-end customer experiences across online and offline channels (Racecourses and Off-course Betting Branches). This is achieved by integrating Clubwide customer data onto a unified platform, creating a single view of our customers that empowers us to deliver personalised offers and unique experiences.
The job holder is responsible for interpreting and analysing complex data sets to provide actionable insights and enhancing service delivery that drive business decisions across the Club. Their primary objective is to collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on large datasets, as well as creating visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders that improve customer experiences and optimize business strategies. This position is essential for facilitating data-driven decision-making, aligning strategic goals with market demands.
The Job
You will
- Assist in undertaking projects that involve market research, data analysis, and report writing to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Identify and monitor data quality metrics to ensure accurate and reliable reporting across different functions
- Conduct regular data analyses to generate insights and support the development of strategies for the department
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legal requirements to maintain the integrity of operations
- Use appropriate tools to visualize the data analysis via reports and interactive dashboards
- Undertake other duties as assigned by Manager
About You
You should have
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimal 4 years relevant working experience in business analytics related fields
- High independence, strong business acumen and high level of analytical ability
- Sensitive to consumer/retail market trend with ability to identify opportunities and implement changes for operation efficiency
- Solid experience in relational databases and familiarity with various database systems
- Experience with data visualization, quantitative and/or financial modelling tools and techniques
- Candidates with less experience will also be considered
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
