The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Department
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
The Job
Business Planning, Budgeting and Strategy Development
- Support the development and update of the 5-year plan aligning with the MCE strategic directions
- Assist in establishing criteria and a systematic approach for prioritising Operational Initiatives (OIs) for MCE
- Coordinate the annual planning and budgeting (and reforecasting) process across MCE teams
- Coordinate and organise business-level and divisional-level performance reviews
- Identify and coordinate discussions on selected topics such as marketing expenses, professional fees, etc.
KPI Setting, Performance Management & Business Partnering
- Provide support to establish/define/review/track ED and divisional KPIs aligned with strategic priorities and business objectives
- Develop partnerships with BUs and leverage domain knowledge to provide strategic planning, performance management and analytical support
- Assist in performance management through regular monitoring of business results, variance analysis, identification of risks and opportunities and generation of actionable insights
- Coordinate performance reporting and implementation of improvement actions with business units to enhance accountability
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance, streamline and automate governance and performance reporting processes, enabling timely and data-driven management actions
Integration of Business Planning - Strategic Initiatives and Projects
- Partner with business and finance teams to support planning, performance monitoring and strategic reviews of key initiatives and projects
- Provide analytical support and strategic insights to evaluate business impact and support decisions on resource allocation
- Monitor initiative delivery, outcomes and achievement of intended business objectives
- Support management and governance forums through the consolidation of performance updates
- If applicable, perform project management functions including but not limited to project planning, establishment of governance, status monitoring and reporting
About You
- A university degree in Business, Finance or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in performing business planning, budgeting and performance management, with a track record of partnering with business stakeholders to drive performance and support decision-making. Experience in large and complex organisations would be an advantage
- Sound knowledge of strategy development and performance management methodologies
- Strong coordination and communication skills to work with multiple teams and stakeholders from different backgrounds
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
