Assistant Manager / Officer, Charities (Impact Measurement / Data)

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Charities and Community (C&C) Division manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust. C&C works with the Government, NGOs, and community partners to proactively identify root causes of social issues and address them through innovative approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.

The Department

Reporting to Senior Manager (“SM”), Charities (Impact Measurement & Reporting), the job holder will support the development, planning and implementation of impact evaluation initiatives of Charities. He or she will collect and collate data, manage databases, analyse data, and report and visualise results pertaining to social impact created by Charities.

The Job

  • Oversee the collection, organisation, analysis, and reporting of data related to Charities projects, beneficiaries and grantees
  • Design and maintain a comprehensive data architecture that supports efficient data collection, storage, and retrieval processes
  • Develop and implement data management strategies and policies to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of the data
  • Develop and maintain data dashboards, reports, and visualisations to effectively communicate data-driven insights to key stakeholders
  • Utilise data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and support program evaluation
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain confidentiality and privacy of data
  • Work with IT colleagues for deployment of and integration with enterprise data analytics solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the development of Charities’ data vision and strategy

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, data science, statistics or a related discipline
  • Strong discipline in handling matters and information of top confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles, practices, and tools
  • High level of proficiency in programming and statistical packages, including SQL, R and Python
  • Strong analytic skills and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
