Assistant Marketing Manager

The Department

Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business results for the Club through the wagering products of local horse racing, simulcast international horse racing, football wagering, wagering operations, analytics and product development with the aim of driving wagering turnover growth and revenue in a socially responsible manner.

 

The Wagering Product Strategy Department is responsible for the strategy for wagering product to support the Club’s business plans, including but not limited to the optimization of the existing wagering product and the discovery of new wagering product for both Hong Kong and overseas. This Department will also act as the data strategy owner for from the product perspective across the apps and customer touch points, as well as with external and international partners.

 

The job holder reports to Head of Wagering Product Strategy. This role focuses on crafting and executing marketing strategies to promote betting products and services to target audiences within the gaming sector.

  • Responsible for market research, customer segmentation, and the development of engaging campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional advertising platforms.
  • Driving customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty by highlighting the excitement and potential rewards of wagering activities while also ensuring responsible gambling practices are communicated.
  • Collaborating with product development teams to create compelling value propositions, optimize promotional offerings, and tailor customer experiences.
  • Applying analytical skills to measure campaign effectiveness, creativity to produce innovative marketing tactics, and a thorough understanding of the wagering industry's regulatory environment are key to excelling in this job.

 

The Job

You will:

  • Drive various forms of horse racing content to facilitate customers’ racing knowledge
  • Liaise with both internal and external providers for content provision and ensure accuracy
  • Liaise with agency to present the content in a customer friendly format
  • Follow through the content management assigned and ensures quality deliverables in a timely manner
  • Manage and co-ordinates with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders on the logistics arrangement for content dissemination
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's business
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager

About You

You should have:

  • A Bachelor degree or above in Business or other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Solid horse racing knowledge is a must (you are encouraged to highlight relevant knowledge or interest in horse racing in resume)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in working with cross functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Independent and good problem-solving skill
  • Attention to details and deadline a must
  • Good command of both written and verbal communication (English and Chinese)
  • An excellent working attitude, self-motivated and being a team player 

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
