Assistant Membership System Manager

Job Summary

The job holder will serve as a bridge between the business units and the IT department within an organization. They collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their strategic goals, identify technology needs, and align IT solutions with those objectives. The person will manage system solution development and support work, ensuring the solutions are accurately framed, well-tested, properly implemented and function stably to meet business operation needs. 
The successful hire will also provide guidance and advice on technology trends, opportunities, and risks. They facilitate communication, manage expectations, and ensure that IT initiatives are aligned with the overall business strategy. 

Major Tasks

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication. Act as a liaison between business users and IT/vendors to align priority and operational needs.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance. Identify trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities through data-driven insights.
  • Define and document system requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into user requirements and technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend system solutions. Conduct feasibility studies, assess business needs, and propose technology / architectural improvements with cost-benefit analysis.
  • Coordinate with business and IT partners on system testing, implementation, and maintenance to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports, highlighting key issues and risks.
  • Develop materials to support change management. Create user / troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and workflow documentation to reinforce proper system usage.
  • Manage system issues. Track, escalate, and follow up with vendors / IT partners. As advisor on short & long terms resolution, line to take, and business continuity planning.
  • Support operational user administration – Handle ongoing configuration change requests, monitor system health, and ensure compliance with change control processes.
  • Mentor and guide team members in project execution and operational tasks.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Qualifications

Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese

Good stakeholder management skills

Experience

Minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in business/system analysis, project management, or implementation of IT-related projects.
