The Division
The Corporate Affairs (CA) Division strengthens the strategic development and positioning of the Club as a world-class racing club and charity organisation, through engaging key stakeholders in both Hong Kong and the Mainland, and maintaining efficient and effective corporate communications.
Job Summary
The job holder supports the development and implementation of the Club’s racing and other communications strategies in order to uphold and strengthen the Club’s positioning as a world class racing and charity organisation, and to fulfil its purpose of "acting continuously for the betterment of the society" through its unique integrated business model.
He/she will be reporting to Deputy Executive Manager, Public Affairs (Language Services), the incumbent supervises designated translation assignments and delivers translation on racing and other designated areas as assigned by Deputy Executive Manager. He/she is also responsible for supporting the implementation of effective publicity programmes for simulcast racedays and races to support the publicity and promotion of the Club's simulcast business.
The Job
- Supports the execution of operation and/or formulate development plans of the Language Services Team to provide effective translation, editing and Chinese language consultancy services for all department of the Club.
- Liaises with Handicapping, Race Planning and International Racing, Racing Registry and Racing PA in the execution of publicity programmes for simulcast racedays/races and preparation of other materials related to the publicity and promotion of the Club's simulcast business.
- Supports the delivery of updated and detailed information to customers on local international racedays by closely liaising with Handicapping, Race Planning and International Racing in producing the related materials.
- Supervises junior team members in designated assignments. Assists in administrative works such as preparation of JSQ breakdowns, quotations and invoices for simulcast racedays/races.
- Supports the management of the Language Services Team to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.

About You
- University degree in language-related disciplines or equivalent qualifications.
- A minimum of four years' experience in translation, journalism and/or related field.
- Experience in supervising and managing a team in providing translation and language services is preferred.
- Professional level of proficiency in translation and writing skills in both English and Chinese.
- • Knowledge and interest in the sport of horse racing are preferred.
