Assistant Technical Manager, Application Development

The Department

The IT Digital & Channels Solutions Department is responsible for the overall management and delivery of high performance, reliable and secure Wagering product distribution channels including Web. Mobile, Retail, Telebet, Kiosk, Selling Terminals and Devices.

In addition, the team delivers high performance, reliable and secure Channel distribution systems connecting to Pari-mutuel and Fixed Odds Wagering Systems.

The department is also responsible for delivery of application solutions for the Membership & Hospitality portfolios.

The Job

You will:

• Work collaboratively with teammates during the phases of requirement, design and development to ensure the quality of deliverables and services

• Design, enhance, develop and maintain large-scale high high-traffic websites and front-end applications

• Comply with established standards and processes in delivering deliverables

• Identify and escalate any critical issues during the development cycle in a timely fashion

• Provide support during the system assurance test and user acceptance test

• Provide recommendations on standards and guidelines for web development

• Provide input on the feasibility of new web product/service ideas from a site architecture perspective

• Align personal development plan with business objectives and embrace the transformation to move the team/department forward

About You

You should have:

• University degree in Computer Sciences, IT or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in gained in a sizable organization with emphasis on web applications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and analytical skills

• Good command of spoken English and Cantonese/ Putonghua

• HandHands-onelopment experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, XML for interactive, cross-browser compatible applications, RESTful API

• Hands-on development experience in responsive design websites

• Good understanding of CI/CD, e.g.Bitbucket, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy

• Good understanding of web analytics, SEO, iOS, Android, social network and video streaming

• A good understanding of Microsoft Azure or other Cloud platforms is a definite advantage

• Knowledge of Agile methodology
