The Division
The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement. With Conghua Racecourse and Greater Bay Area expansion, we’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.
The Department
The Commingling Department plays an essential role in the development of Hong Kong as a world class racing jurisdiction and in disseminating Hong Kong racing betting product to a global audience. Through co-operations with overseas racing betting operators and media, this team cultivates and develops business opportunities for incoming, outgoing simulcast and the commingling business including World Pool. This team is responsible for the conduct of business and strategic analysis, contract negotiation and maintenance as well as marketing activities in relation to commingling matters abroad.
Job Summary
The job holder reports to Senior Manager, Business Development of the Commingling Development and is responsible for executing the business development strategy, with a core focus on driving growth of the commingling business, securing partnerships with overseas partners / operators, and expanding the international footprint of Hong Kong racing.
The Job
- Business and Market Analysis: Support to conduct market / business analysis to identify and prioritize new opportunities. Assist with the development of business cases and go-to-market strategies, including revenue projections and marketing plans for new or existing partnerships.
- Commercial Negotiation & Contracting: Support end-to-end negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with strategic, financial, and marketing objectives.
- Partner & Joint Marketing Management: Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships. Collaborate on joint marketing initiatives to drive customer acquisition, enhance product visibility, and maximize commercial value.
- Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Coordinate due diligence and launch processes, aligning legal, finance, compliance, operations, and marketing inputs for compliant and successful market entry.
- Communication & Performance Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations on market insights, partnership performance, and marketing effectiveness to guide decisions on way forward.
- Undertakes other duties as assigned by Line Manager
About You
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Finance or Languages
- A minimum of 5 years working experience
- Demonstrates a strong commercial mindset with proven analytical skills and the ability to drive informed business decisions.
- Possesses good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with external partners and internal stakeholders.
- A self-motivated project manager who thrives in a dynamic, target-driven environment.
- A understanding of the racing industry, betting operations, or international sports is highly advantageous.
