Charities Officer (Impact Measurement & Reporting)

Reporting to Senior Manager, Charities (Impact Measurement & Reporting), the job holder will support the development, planning and implementation of impact evaluation initiatives of Charities. He or she will analyse data, report and visualise results pertaining to social impact created by Charities, and provide advice on project Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL).
The Department
This team contributes to the Institute of Philanthropy’s purpose of working towards the betterment of societies everywhere through impactful philanthropy, by exploring and demonstrating the potential of impact capital approaches in catalysing greater quantum and quality of capital for good.
The Job
- Analyse and interpret research data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Conduct literature reviews to provide advice on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plans.
- Prepare reports and presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Create and maintain documentation related to data analysis processes and methodologies.
- Maintain and optimise existing data pipelines and databases.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), data analysis and visualisation
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. An MPhil degree is preferred.
- Experience in data analysis, preferably in a research environment. Candidates with less experience will also be considered.
- Strong discipline in handling matters and information of top confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of data management principles, practices, and tools
- High level of proficiency in programming and statistical packages, such as R, Python, SAS, SQL.
- Experience working with dashboard platforms to visualize data (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytic skills and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
- Genuine interest in charitable work and community well-being
