Customer Growth and Experience Officer (Event)

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

 

 

The Division

The Customer Strategy, Insights, and Innovation (CSII) Division is dedicated to cultivating customer-centric capabilities across the Club ecosystem and shaping customer strategies that drive business growth. The Division focus on developing the the segment strategy, design products and propositions, including new entertainment offerings to drive target prospect acquisition and strengthen base management. 

 

The Job

  • Assist to curate events or occassions to cultivate customers' sports wagering interests, and to elevate experience towards the Top 500 and High Value Customers.
  • Assist to implement customer wagering strategies aligned with the Club's objectives to uplift overall customer satisfaction across different touch points.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (across teams/divisions in the Club) and external vendors (service providers) to support event preparations, logistics planning and operations onsite to assure smooth operations, during race days and non race days (race duty required &/or during weekends).
  • Assist to control budget and handle finance related issues, and to perform general administrative duties including but not limited to meeting preparation, invoice processing, data entry, inventory management, etc.
  • Create bilingual promotional materials that meet the Club's standard. Proficiency of Putonghua and Simplified Chinese is an advantage.
  • Support production of marketing communications (physical and digital e.g. e-DM, e-banner, poster, etc.) including procurement requests, conent creation and distribution, etc., from planning to output/production.
  • Assist superior to analyze all souces of customer data strategically, providing insights and support on event proposal, evaluation, report preparation, presentation, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's businesses.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

 

About You

  • A University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in event marketing; solid exposure in customer management operations would be an advance
  • Skills in marketing, communications and event management
  • Basic understanding of e-DM and html coding
  • Detail-oriented in handling numerical data and text
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • High team spirit to work with others; detailed-mind and capability to follow-through executions in an efficient and independent manner
  • Willingness to learn, proactive approach, can-do spirit and positive working attitude
  • Flexibility to work on most of the racedays at both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourse
