Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Special Projects Department leads the Club’s integrated Greater China development strategy, consolidating cross-functional workstreams to build a cohesive, sustainable business model that supports the Club’s long-term growth and strategic ambitions in the region.
The Job
You will play a key role in supporting business planning, programme governance, operational readiness, and performance management for this large-scale strategic initiative.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of business plans, operating targets, performance scorecards, and KPI frameworks to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Analysing business performance and preparing management insights and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Supporting programme governance processes, including reporting, risk and issue management, change control, implementation tracking, and project documentation.
- Consolidating progress updates, milestone tracking, and management reports across multiple workstreams to support effective programme oversight.
- Maintaining KPI dashboards, business performance reporting, and forecasting frameworks to monitor achievement of key business objectives.
- Coordinating integrated implementation plans, tracking dependencies, risks, and deliverables across cross-functional teams.
- Supporting operational readiness activities and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful implementation of key business milestones.
- Monitoring implementation progress, resource utilisation, and overall workstream performance, identifying and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives through the application of project management best practices, digital solutions, and emerging technologies including AI.
- Coordinating customer validation activities, commercial assessments, demand forecasting, pricing reviews, and business case development to validate business assumptions and customer propositions.
About You
You should possess
- A bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 12 years' relevant experience in strategic planning, business transformation, programme management, corporate strategy, consulting, or related fields.
- Proven experience in business planning, performance management, and large-scale transformation or implementation programmes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate complex information into actionable business insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working across multiple functions and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong project and programme management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong data analysis, KPI development, and performance management experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HKJC operations and the Greater Bay Area business environment would be an advantage.
