Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Charities and Community (C&C) Division manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust. C&C works with the Government, NGOs, and community partners to proactively identify root causes of social issues and address them through innovative approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.
The Department
This team is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing Trust-Initiated Projects ("TIP") and key educational projects in the Education and Youth Cluster, including the "Artificial Intelligence Education Programme for Students, to achieve the intended project objectives, outcomes and impact.
The Job
- Oversee and drive TIPs and key educational projects under the Education and Youth Cluster, including the “Artificial Intelligence Education Programme for Students”, such as project development, implementation and improvement, talent and community building, and impact measurement to achieve objectives, outcomes and impact

Oversee year-long activities and events, engage and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and programme partners to ensure aggregated project impact is well-communicated and achieved

Oversee budgetary planning and control, manage internal and external liaison and communication of all necessary processes, in compliance with the Club’s standard, to ascertain process integrity

Initiate and coordinate publicity and promotional activities for TIPs and key projects to build awareness, impact and enhance Trust’s image

Produce high quality committee papers, project reports for regular committee meetings and board submission

Represent the Trust in activities in relation to his/her respective projects including ceremonies, Voting Member Visits, Community Day and other related functions as part of the ongoing project monitoring process of approved projects, stakeholder engagement and new project development

Perform other activities ranging from background research on related social issues, to drafting articles and speeches for publicity events as required by the Trust

Plan and oversee professional development of supporting team members

Lead or support Cultural Transformation initiatives, and cross-team and cross-theme collaboration effort
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to the education sector (incl. schools and universities), AI / technology, public administration, consulting, NGOs, policy research, and/or social service settings
- Knowledge in the community needs, existing services and/or government policies related to education and training (especially in financial education in primary schools), human capital development, and/or the social sector in Hong Kong in general
- Experience in dealing with different stakeholders, such as government officials, district boards, academic public bodies and local foundations
- Strong writing proficiency (in English and Chinese)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Proven project management experience and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams effectively
- Strong personal drive, strategic and innovative mindset and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborative as a team
