The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. The Division - Membership & Customer Excellence (MCE)
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
The Job
- Lead the development and execution of annual business plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Establish, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate departmental performance against goals.
- Collect and analyze performance data, generating comprehensive management reports to provide insights for decision-making.
- Facilitate collaboration between departments to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and support divisional objectives.
- Oversee divisional and cross-departmental projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to objectives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legal requirements, including responsible gambling and operational safety standards.
- Coordinate training sessions and events to enhance team capabilities and support continuous improvement in performance.
- Prepare strategic communications and reports for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of progress and initiatives.
- Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis to maintain budget integrity and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Develop business modeling and analytics to support strategic planning and operational enhancements.
- Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Execute various ad-hoc analyses as required by business needs, providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives.
About You
- University degree in Finance, Business, or other relevant disciplines
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business planning, budgeting, and financial management.
- Proven experience in project management and implementation, preferably in regulated industries or service sectors.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration across various disciplines.
- Strong experience in research and analyzing market intelligence; experience in providing regular business performance analysis is a strong advantage.
