Deputy Executive Manager / Senior Manager, Charities (TIP: CoolThink)
Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for supporting various departments in managing key projects. The job holder is involved in project strategic direction in the planning and design of project roadmaps, overseeing project execution by evaluating resources, risks, and timelines, and ensuring the delivery of quality outcomes. The job holder will also will manage project governance, monitor budgets, and review progress reports while fostering collaboration among stakeholders to enhance project effectiveness.
The Job
- Support leadership in planning and designing roadmaps for key projects; collaborate with departments to review processes for improvements.
- Oversee project planning by evaluating capabilities, resources, risks, and timelines; manage assigned projects to ensure quality deliverables and address emerging issues.
- Lead implementation planning, including developing standard operating procedures and conducting evaluations for ongoing improvement.
- Safeguard project governance to ensure deliverables meet specifications; manage budgets and prepare reports on progress and financial status.
- Ensure compliance with policies; explore collaboration opportunities and monitor project spending and outcomes.
- Engage stakeholders and support team development and cross-department collaboration to enhance project outcomes.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 10-12 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to the education sector (incl. schools and universities), public administration, consulting, NGOs, policy research, and/or social service settings;
- Knowledge in the community needs, existing services and/or government policies related to education and training, human capital development, and/or the social sector in Hong Kong in general;
- Experience in dealing with different stakeholders, such as government officials, district boards, academic public bodies and local foundations.
- Strong writing proficiency (in English and Chinese);
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
- Proven project management experience and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams effectively;
- Strong personal drive, strategic and innovative mindset and analytical skills; and
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborative as a team.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
