External Affairs Officer (Youth Sports Programme Management)

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Corporate Affairs (CA) Division strengthens the strategic development and positioning of the Club as a world-class racing club and charity organisation, through engaging key stakeholders in both Hong Kong and the Mainland, and maintaining efficient and effective corporate communications.
Job Summary
The role is to provide full spectrum of event & administrative support, including but not limited to event preparation and coordination.
The Job
- Assist in planning and organizing youth sports (football in particular) and community programmes/events in Hong Kong and Mainland
- Housekeep all relevant programme equipment and event materials
- Provide execution and logistics support on/off pitch through proper procedures and work flow to ensure a smooth delivery
- Provide departmental administrative support to the team
- Support the content creation on digital media, such as post-write up, photography and/or videography
- Undertake other duties as assigned by Manager
About You
- HKDSE or above, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in supporting and organising sports programme or large event execution
- Willing to work on weekends and/or public holidays
- Experience in working with production house or creative agency will be an advantage
- Outgoing personality and keen to serve the community
- Knowledge in football will be an advantage
- Interest in sports and wellness will be a bonus
- Hands-on experience of MS Office applications
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
