Finance Manager, Wagering Performance Reporting
Job Summary
As a member of the Reporting Team within Wagering Product Finance, the job holder is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful reporting for the Club’s wagering business. Key responsibilities include preparing regular management reports, developing financial models, and analyzing customer behavior to support business decisions.
The position works closely with IT, data engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms. It also involves conducting performance investigations, responding to ad-hoc analysis requests, and contributing to strategic initiatives that drive long-term business sustainability.
Additionally, the role supports the transformation of the Club’s wagering reporting landscape by improving efficiency, aligning outputs with business needs, and advancing analytics capabilities.
The Job
Data Mining / Analyses
- Develop and maintain wagering product databases to meet business needs and ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Perform data mining and analysis to support analytical tasks, incident management and strategic programs.
- Provide insight and value-added data analyses to support business growth and incident management.
Financial Oversight, Planning and Budgetary Control
- Provide financial / management reports and update Management on the wagering business trend (including racing, football, basketball, and lottery).
- Provide wagering business / product projection and analyses (including impact evaluation due to system release / business changes or interruption, etc.) to support business initiatives or needs.
- Participate in wagering revenue target setting, keep track of business performance and highlight performance issues.
Strategic Program Support
- Understand the new business changes / objectives.
- Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to specify user / business requirements for system development.
- Review the user / business requirements to ensure accurate and complete description.
- Perform UAT to ensure that the new systems accurately incorporate the user / business requirements.
- Develop financial model and business case to support new product and project funding approval.
- Keep track of the financial performance and conduct post implementation review.
Task Automation / Continuous Improvement
- Streamline Finance Compliance workflows and automate regular reports / analyses and financial models.
- Seek continuous improvement and provide value-added analyses.
Developing Self and Others
- Assist the Team Lead in monitoring progress against objectives, identifying potential risks or bottlenecks, and proposing solutions.
- Facilitate collaboration within the team by coordinating task execution, clarifying priorities, and ensuring alignment with overall goals.
- Guide team members through knowledge sharing and best practices to enhance capability.
About You
You should have:
- Degree in a relevant discipline; Master's degree is a plus
- 5+ years of working experience in Finance, Data Analysis, Data Mining, or related disciplines
- Experience in project management
- Proficiency in database structures
- Experience in leading or mentoring small sized teams of junior analysts
- Preferably with a CPA qualification
