The Division

The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement.  With Conghua Racecourse and Greater Bay Area expansion, we’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.

The Job

• Responsible for business analytics in support of the commingling and simulcast business, including:
• • Perform regular and ad-hoc business performance reports
  • Structure and perform analyses supporting the pricing strategy for contract negotiations
  • Structure and perform summaries and analyses supporting stakeholder relationship management with various external parties including overseas racing authorities, tote operators and other partners
  • Structure and continuous refine regular business performance updates to ensure alignment in understanding of latest business development, especially with increased product offerings

• Apply advanced analytics and leverage Tableau to create dashboards that support data-driven decision-making
• Responsible for the finance function within the team, including departmental budgeting, forecasting and expenditure operations
• Assist in the preparation of formal business papers and presentations
• Assists in and coordinates among various internal parties with regards to research and due diligence on overseas partners, tote companies, as well as overseas legislation and relevant tax laws
• Assists in logistics planning, hosting of international guests from overseas racing authorities and media as well as preparation of relevant presentation materials to international guests to showcase Hong Kong racing and related business development
• Undertakes other duties as assigned by Line Manager

About You

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related disciplines
• A minimum of 6 years working experience
• Proficient in using SQL in data warehouse and cloud environment
• Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
• Attentiveness to details and ability to collate complex information
• High level of analytical ability, logical sense and preferably a strong business acumen
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese
• A good persuasive storyteller to communicate analytics results to stakeholders in plain language
• Experience in data analysis and dashboard development role is preferrable
• Strong preference for candidate with knowledge in horse racing and/or wagering
