Manager, Business Planning and Analytics (Retail)
The Department
The Customer Strategy, Insights, and Innovation (CSII) Division is dedicated to cultivating customer-centric capabilities across the Club ecosystem and shaping customer strategies that drive business growth. Through a data-driven approach, the Division strives to achieve a 360-degree understanding and insights of owners, members and wagering customers, enabling the seamless design of end-to-end customer experiences across online and offline channels (Racecourses and Off-course Betting Branches). This is achieved by integrating Clubwide customer data onto a unified platform, creating a single view of our customers that empowers us to deliver personalised offers and unique experiences.
The job holder is responsible for enhancing the Club's strategic initiatives through comprehensive analytics and insights. Reporting to senior management, the job holder focuses on conducting data analysis, modeling, and forecasting to support business planning and performance management. The job holder will develop data workflows and business intelligence tools to analyze key business drivers and assess external trends, quantifying the impact of various initiatives. Key functions include collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights, managing data governance, and utilizing advanced data visualization techniques.
The Job
You will:
- Maintain and enhance data management processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across departments.
- Conduct statistical analyses to derive actionable insights and prepare reports that evaluate business performance based on key metrics.
- Work with stakeholders across various departments to facilitate data-driven decision-making and support business planning initiatives.
- Assist in the planning and execution of analytical projects, ensuring timely delivery of insights that align with business objectives.
- Set and track KPIs to monitor business performance and provide ongoing assessments.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements in data analytics and contribute innovative ideas to improve operational efficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to relevant policies and legal requirements to maintain the integrity of the Club's operations.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by Manager.
About You
You should have:
- Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and data transformation techniques.
- Experience with data visualization, quantitative and/or financial modelling tools and techniques.
- Experience working in organisations with diverse operations or dealing with multiple stakeholders is a plus.
- Solid business acumen with strong analytical ability.
- Strong analytical and inter-personal skills to deal with different stakeholders.
- Good Prior experience in SQL/ other database querying tools and data mining experience is a plus.
- Computer literacy in using Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Word. Extensive experience with Excel/VBA is a must.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
