Manager, Charities (Grantee Relationship Management)

Job Summary

The Manager, Charities (Grantee Relationship Management), is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the overall vision, strategy, and execution of the organisation's grantee relationship management initiatives. This role ensures that all grantee-related processes, policies, and frameworks align with the organisation's mission and objectives. The job holder provides high-level oversight of the grantee project lifecycle, addressing complex challenges, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include providing strategic direction for onboarding, engagement, and support processes, and mentoring a team of managers and specialists to ensure the highest standards in grantee relationship management.

The Job

You will:

  • Oversee the strategic direction and execution of the grantee relationship management process, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of managers and specialists responsible for all aspects of grantee relationship management, including onboarding, governance, compliance, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless and effective support for grantees throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement standardised frameworks, policies, and tools to enhance the efficiency and consistency of grantee management processes.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve grantee engagement and enhance the impact of the organisation’s philanthropic investments.
  • Drive continuous improvement of grantee-focused policies, processes, and systems to ensure operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About You

You should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related disciplines.
  • At least 8-10 years relevant experience in business process improvement projects or operations management.
  • Experience in business event management and delivery and communications for international and/or regional organisations/federations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Project management and stakeholder engagement abilities. 
  • Knowledge and experience in project management is a must (at least 5 years in managerial role).
  • Extensive experience in dealing with different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Preferably with Six-Sigma certification.

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
