Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Sports Business Division is central to the Club’s overall aspiration to become a globally recognised sports and entertainment brand, with world-class horse racing at its core. The Division’s overarching focus is to deliver sustainable growth of the Club’s sports business, deepen customer engagement, and contribute to position the Club as a leading global sports and entertainment brand to enable its commitment to social betterment. Its strategy is delivered through three pillars: broadening the fan base and prospecting new customers, growing the sports wagering business, and building the Club’s brand and commercialising its assets. 

Job Summary

The job holder is responsible for developing and implementing division-wide and departmental initiatives aimed at driving sustainable growth and enhancing customer engagement. Key responsibilities include performing business analysis, reporting, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services while maximizing profitability. The job holder will collaborate closely with different units to integrate business planning and performance management processes, aligning with broader organizational goals. Critical contributions will involve optimizing business results through effective analytics, performance tracking, and initiative oversight, while building strong relationships and exceeding customer expectations.

The Job

• Produce regular and ad-hoc management presentations and reports.
• Conduct various analyses and provide insights for the business.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure success and align with corporate, divisional and departmental objectives.
• Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate and engage with different levels of stakeholders to drive various divisionwide and departmental initiatives 
• Identify opportunities for divisional planning process improvements.
• Support strategic planning and business case development.
• Ensure adherence to relevant policies and legal requirements.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in business planning, analytics, or performance management.
• Hands-on experience in producing management presentations and reports.
• Hands-on experience in a relevant industry, such as financial services, consulting, or hospitality, is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse operations and multiple stakeholders is beneficial.
