Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
Job Summary
The job holder reports to Senior Manager, Membership Partnerships & Growth, and supports the Manager in driving Membership strategic partnerships and prospect development initiatives to support the Club's long-term Membership growth objectives.
The Job
- Support the Manager to develop and execute Membership Partnership and growth strategy to attract quality prospects aligned with the Clubs growth objective.
- Establish and grow strategic partnership with key organizations or corporations within the financial and luxury sectors to generate qualified Membership opportunities and enhance the Club’s market presence.
- Identify and stay aware of emerging UHNWIs, customer segments, market trends and new business opportunities to support the strategy.
- Organize events and campaigns to uplift prospecting opportunities, HKJC membership brand exposure and potential members’ engagement.
- Execute annual calendar and exclusive events/experiences proposal including business-to-business partnership & client engagement (event to engage partner e.g. Private banks relationship manager), business-to-business-to-customer engagement events (e.g. prospecting events for clients referred by partners such as Client of private bank), and bespoke HNWI Racing and lifestyle engagement events, to engage and acquire potential Members clients.
- Coordinate and prepare all collaterals to groom potential Members’s interests in products and offerings of the Club and interest in horse racing and ownership.
- Adopt and data-driven mindset and be able to leverage insights and market intelligence to inform acquisition strategy and optimize engagement efforts.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Senior Manager, Membership Partnerships & Growth.
About You
- 6- 8 years of relevant experience in proposition development, client engagement and event management, ideally within the banking, wealth management, or luxury lifestyle sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, business administration, communications or related field
- Proven track record of driving growth through securing strategic partnerships, and/or record of acquiring high-value clients through engagements
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing high-end events for discerning clientele
- Good presentation and people engagement skills
- Good competency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
