Manager, Quantitative Developer (Wagering)

The Department

The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Football, Mark 6 Lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible manner.

 

The Job

You will:

  • Design, enhance, develop, integrate, and support the data analytics system using C# and ASP.NET
  • Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Contribute to the overall design and architecture of the messaging framework via Solace and or Kafka
  • Collaborate with vendor delivery teams to support their deliveries
  • Coordinate with other development teams and stakeholders to build modules meeting user requirements
  • Build real-time data pipeline on our new analytics platform 
  • Ensure compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy and all legal requirements related to wagering, safeguarding the integrity of the Club's business
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the line manager
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables

 

About You

You should have:

  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master Degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in big data projects, applied machine learning, or statistical analysis
  • Hands-on experience in software development, especially on the Microsoft platform
  • Project experience with message queue tools
  • Experience collaborating with vendor delivery teams
  • Hands-on experience on C#, Java, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB
  • Knowledge in on-premises deployment and maintenance of Docker, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Grafana is a plus
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less experience will also be considered

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
