Manager, Special Project (Business Process)
Job Summary
The Club has setup of a new Strategic Project for the integrated Conghua Racecourse (‘CRC’) business which involves consolidating various business and functional workstreams to enable a cohesive and sustainable strategy for the integrated CRC business model, and establish business requirements and timeline.
The job holder is responsible for managing and implementing Business Projects initiatives . The position involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines while ensuring budget compliance. Additionally, the job holder will monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and implement best practices, contributing to the successful delivery of key initiatives and supporting the Club's mission.
Major Tasks
You will:
- Work as part of the Strategic Project Integrated Project Management Office (IPMO) team. You will also facilitate and support workstreams and project stakeholders in issue resolution and milestone delivery, and carry out core business process mapping of new BAU operations of prioritized areas
- Support the IPMO Head to design and develop IPMO processes with suitable templates and tool-kits, and execute them effectively with the SP30 workstreams to ensure project is on-time, on-budget, and on-quality/business requirements
- Work on core business process mapping of the SP30 new BAU operations, starting with prioritized areas that are agreed with Business Manager.
- Support functions and operations by providing template and tools to help them translate the business processes down to operating procedures with man/system interface, operational control, and responsibility of people by tasks.
- Identify and capture risks and issues in a register based on an appropriate Risk Assessment Framework that evaluates the impact of risks along the dimensions of likelihood and severity, and to implement a process of following up on risk and issue mitigating actions in a timely and proactive manner.
- Manage the integrated timeline to ensure progress is updated accurately and timely, and milestones interdependencies across workstreams are planned out well and managed effectively.
- Coordinate meetings with cross-divisional stakeholders, prepare reports and presentation decks for the IPMO team as required.
- Assist in ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
Education
Qualifications
Experience
- Over 5-10 years’ of experience in project management, PMO, and project support in large organisations.
- Solid project planning, implementation and management skills (PMP, AMP qualified)
- Expertise in bossiness process review and mapping (6-Sigma/Design Thinking).
- PMO knowledge and capabilities will be a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to interact/engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Project, MS Office applications and knowledge of Primavera 6.
- Understanding of AI tools in project management will be an advantage.
- Good proficiency of written and spoken English and Cantonese. Working knowledge of Putonghua is an added advantage.
- Less experienced candidates will be considered as Assistant Manager.
