Job Summary

This primary purpose of the job holder is to supervise daily procurement operations, carry out RFX, sourcing and tendering activities, and supervise junior staff to ensure business requirements are met. The job holder will require a close working relationship with business to formulate an effective procurement strategies and sub category plans through understanding demand requirements, business needs, supply market and conducting business analytics, supplier evaluations, etc. The job holder will support team operations, management reporting and category and departmental initiatives. This job holder will also support his/ her direct report with supply related activities like identifying potential suppliers, managing supplier relationships and providing inputs to supply risks identification and act as a change catalyst.

The Job

Review and analyse procurement needs and develop procurement and contracting strategies for acquiring necessary works, goods and services on a category basis
Provide advice on sourcing and procurement procedures and best practices regarding procurement activities
Conduct regular review and carry out market and supplier research to support execution of supply chain and category management strategies for FM and R&M category and associated sub-categories
Contribute to the on-going improvement of the procurement function
Manage stakeholder and supplier relationship
Handle ad-hoc purchases or projects assigned
Assist in maintenance and update of the Club’s Procurement Policy and Procedures

About You

Degree holders in Surveying or Engineering or related disciplines
Professional qualifications of HKIS/RICS – Quantity Surveying Division or HKIE/ICE – Building Services Division or equivalent
At least 6-8 years’ relevant experience in Procurement/Quantity Surveying/Engineering
Good knowledge of category management including but not limited to Building Services, Office Renovation and minor capex works
