The Division
The Finance Division is a key business partner, balancing oversight with support. With uncompromising integrity at its core, the division works proactively and collaboratively to deliver insights, enable solutions, and drive financial stewardship, contributing to the Club’s sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term success.
The Department
Under the Finance Division, the Investment Office in HKJC is responsible for managing investments, operations and risk matters related to the Club’s portfolio. The investment team focuses on evaluating and recommending investment strategies for investing the Club’s financial assets, assessing and monitoring the performance of external fund managers and the related risks arising from such activities.
The Job
- Assist with the day-to-day investment management of the long term capital of the Club, specifically the Fixed Income portfolio.
- Carry out day-to-day monitoring of capital markets and investment portfolios;
- Assess and monitor the performance of external fund managers and the related risks arising from such activities;
- Prepare various management, performance and analytical reports, on periodical basis;
- Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities through in-depth due diligence;
- Maintain various proprietary and third party systems and databases and contribute to a variety of projects to enhance the data infrastructure;
- Develop and utilize quantitative tools for manager research and investment analysis;
- Support the engagement process as it relates to the Club’s Environmental, Social and Governance policy; and
- Keep abreast of the latest market and business development of the financial industry.
About You
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline;
- Post graduate degree and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred;
- Financial markets knowledge through 5 to 7 years of industry experience;
- Experience in global fixed income markets and/or manager research preferred;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Advanced skills in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint;
- Excellent understanding of financial markets and derivatives;
- Programming knowledge (SQL, VBA, Python, etc.) is desirable.
