Member Racing Programme Officer (Event Management) (1-year Renewable Contract)

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.

The Department

This team executes strategic and integrated brand programmes that support in elevating the Member Experience across respective passion points within the Club. As a part of the Center of Expertise within the Member Experience Marketing team, they closely partner with Hospitality Marketing, Member Brand Programmes, and Member Communication Channels.

The Job

  • Support the planning and execution of strategic brand programming (racing) within the organization.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts across various business units and have ownership for the development process of scalable programming that appeals to distinct Member segments, elevating the positioning of the Club.
  • Support the development of detailed content briefs to define brand, visual identity, and narrative requirements, as well as the execution of the communications plan for each brand programme.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Channels & Communication Organization to develop appropriate channel solutions for each programme.
  • Coordinate and provide guidance that supports the execution of brand-specific programming at each respective Business Unit.
  • Provide administrative support on team matters.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by Manager.

About You

  • A university degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing, event management and branding management in a sizable organisation.
  • Passion in horse racing will be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, customer-centric, detail-minded and be creative, proactive and result-oriented.
  • Skills in marketing & communications, event management and knowledge in interactive customer experience & account management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin will be an advantage.
