Project Manager (Corporate Offices)

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this job is assist to lead the project team comprising of external consultants, contractors and suppliers as well as internal cross-divisional groups.

The Job

You will:

  • Assist the SMPFTS to lead the project team comprising of external consultants, contractors and suppliers as well as internal cross-divisional groups
  • Provide professional advice on alternations and renovations of existing facilities, and construction of new facilities under the surveillance of the Corporate Team
  • Understand the needs and operational requirement from relevant stakeholders. Liaison with drawing office / design consultants to ensure the design fulfills these needs and requirements
  • Coordinate the office restacking project arrangement and ensure the compliance with the project timeline, internal and external regulations and Corporate Workplace Standard
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluations to identify possible project strategies and solutions        
  • Tender document preparation
  • Provide assistance on preparation of expenditure authorisation proposal, approval memo, variation work(s) application and other approval paper / document
  • Monitor and control project progress and expenditures against approved programmes and budgets to ensure that the projects are accomplished in time, within budget and to required quality
  • Manage and supervise contractors and suppliers during all stages of a project to ensure that quality and safety standards are met       
  • Manage and supervise members of the project team to ensure effective and efficient deployment of resources       
  • Prepare timely and accurate management reports to keep SMPFTS informed on the operational performance of the Project Team with the goal of ensuring continuous improvement

About You

You should have:

  • A degree in interior design / building studies / construction management / engineering / architectural or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in project management, ideally in fitting out projects
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and MS project with hands-on experience in using MS office applications
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
