Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Department
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
The Job
- Provide professional administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Retail and Telebet
- Prioritise and arrange internal and external meetings, travel schedules, and bookings for the Head of Retail and Telebet; handle enquiries and correspondence
- Assist in preparing and monitoring departmental budgets and expenses
- Prepare reports, presentation materials and meeting papers with the Club’s standard; prepare agendas and meeting minutes; compile presentations for executives and board level and ensure the timely submission
- Act as a communication channel between the teams and other internal and external stakeholders. Maintain collaborative relationships across different departments to keep updated on operational issues
- Set up and maintain a good filing system for project documents and support timely document retrievals as and when required
- Be responsible for the Channel function Executives' duty arrangement
- Co-manage the drivers’ roster and ensure professional standards for the department's pool car services
- Assist with ad hoc projects; organise team activities and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Retail and Telebet
About You
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- A minimum of 5 years' solid experience in operations and administration, preferably in sizable organisations
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills as a team player
- Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Hands-on experience with MS Office applications and Chinese word processing
