Senior Analyst, Finance (Capital Project Governance)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Manager, Finance (Capital Project Governance), the Senior Analyst will support the Club’s efforts to strengthen end-to-end governance of major capital projects, with a particular emphasis on benefit realisation tracking.

 

This role will contribute to the development and implementation of benefit realisation frameworks that enable consistent tracking, reporting, and optimisation of project benefits across the Club.

 

The Senior Analyst will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to embed measurable KPIs in project submissions for concept and funding approvals, support the CPG Team in conducting regularly reviews on benefits realization tracking & analysis, reporting to the Capital Committee and help drive transparency & accountability in major capital project delivery.

 

The role shall also support the Capital Project Governance (CPG) Team in delivering other related tasks e.g. automating project approval process, developing & implementing relevant guidance materials, capital projects screening, etc.

Major Tasks

1. Track status and gatekeep on quality of post-implementation review for projects approved by the Capital Committee 

  • Keep track of the status and ensuring the quality of post-implementation review for projects approved by the Capital Committee
  • Assist in the regular reporting of projects benefits realization to the Capital Committee
  • Identify quality issues, gaps, or weaknesses during post-implementation review, and propose on ways to improve.

 

2. Support CPG Team in analyzing Clubwide CAPEX spending

  • Collect & analyze historical Clubwide CAPEX spending data
  • Participate in forward-looking analysis on Clubwide CAPEX spending trend through analyzing information from various data sources
  • Assess the alignment between clubwide strategies and CAPEX spending plan

 

3. Support the CPG Team

  • In automating project approval process to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • In reviewing and updating relevant policies and guidance materials to ensure project benefits are effectively captured and monitored.
  • In screening of capital projects to ensure alignment with strategic goals and optimal resource allocation.
  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders to identify and address any issues or challenges in the governance process.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance practices by providing insights and recommendations based on best practices and lessons learned.

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a recognised consulting firm, preferably with experience preparing or evaluating major capital project proposals and/or performing project post-implementation reviews
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in using data visualisation tools including Tableau and Excel
  • Experience in data extraction via SQL is a plus
  • Basic understanding in waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies

  • Technical knowledge in IT and property development is a plus.
