Senior Analyst, Investment Risk

Job Summary

The job entails responsibility for the primary data infrastructure of the Investment Office as well as supporting the department in risk identification, measurement, and assessment. This spans multiple levels across overall asset allocation, individual asset classes, and managers.

Major Tasks

Be responsible for development, operation, and management of data and analytics systems that feed into the Investment Office's overall portfolio management and risk analysis and reporting processes.
Work closely with team members across the investment office on the assessment of individual managers / strategies and how those strategies can affect the total portfolio.
Support senior roles in detailed assessments of risk management, portfolio construction, and portfolio management practices of individual managers.
Combine quantitative and qualitative inputs, turning data into analysis, and analysis into insights on the risk profile of individual managers, asset classes, and/or the entire portfolio for use at the broader investment office level.
Develop relevant reports and presentations to senior Management and Investment Committee members.
Undertake special research projects as required.

Education

University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or related discipline; post-graduate degree preferred.

Qualifications

Experience

2-8 years of experience in the asset management industry.
