Senior Data Scientist

The Department

The Customer Strategy, Insights, and Innovation (CSII) Division is dedicated to cultivating customer-centric capabilities across the Club ecosystem and shaping customer strategies that drive business growth. Through a data-driven approach, the Division strives to achieve a 360-degree understanding and insights of owners, members and wagering customers, enabling the seamless design of end-to-end customer experiences across online and offline channels (Racecourses and Off-course Betting Branches). This is achieved by integrating Clubwide customer data onto a unified platform, creating a single view of our customers that empowers us to deliver personalised offers and unique experiences.

The job holder reports to Data Scientist Lead and is responsible for managing requests from different business units, understand their goals and translate requirements into data-driven solutions.

The Job

You will

  • Leverage machine learning and AI tools to develop predictive models that deliver actionable business insights and drive strategic decision-making
  • Translate complex model results and methodologies into clear, accessible explanations that empower business stakeholders to make informed decisions
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data and uncover trends that support objectives across departments and divisions
  • Partner with marketing teams to enhance customer targeting, improve retention strategies, and generate valuable customer insights
  • Assists with the implementation of data pipelines within the Team
  • Ensures that the Team delivers solutions to customer analytics (and more widely if relevant) efficiently and with increased automation

About You

You should have

  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working on data science projects, including a minimum of 1 year utilizing AI tools such as GPT, Grok, or similar 
  • Strong analytical, logical, problem solving skills and business acumens
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Excellent working attitude, self-motivated and team player
  • Less experience will be considered as “Data Scientist”

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
