Senior Manager, Charities (Compliance)
The Department
Reporting to Deputy Executive Manager (Operations) of SPOR, the job holder will have the primary duty to assist in the formulation of policies and guidelines on risk management and compliance matters, and to assist in handling cases related to risk and compliance matters of Trust-funded or Charities’ projects.
The Job
- Support DEM (Operations) in the formulation of relevant policies, guidelines and procedures on risk and compliance matters for ensuring proper governance for Trust-funded or Charities’ projects
- Support DEM (Operations) and assist in handling due diligence and compliance matters for Trust-funded and Charities’ projects, including handling of specific cases with compliance issues
- Assist in following up on audit exercises conducted by Internal Audit for continuous enhancement of governance of Trust-funded and Charities’ projects and special audit exercises initiated by the Trust on grantees
- Working with programme teams, facilitate the development of suitable project plans, management process in the aspects of risk management and compliance for achieving effective and efficient project implementation for results.
- Working with programme teams, assist in maintaining standards in compliance for Trust-funded and Charities’ projects
- Assist in conducting reviews and implement necessary refinements on risk management and compliance infrastructure support for Trust-funded and Charities projects
- Other areas of work as assigned by Supervisor
About You
- A Bachelor’s degree
- At least 10 years' working experience in compliance matters in senior position in sizeable organisations with exposure to NGOs, Government, or public and social service sectors
- Strong passion in charities work and community services
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent writing skills (in both English and Chinese) and interpersonal / communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong personal drive with innovative mind-set
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively for teamwork
- Project management
- Stakeholders engagement
- Knowledge management
- PC skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
