Senior Manager, Charities (Healthy Community - Inclusive Employment)

The Job

  • Oversee and lead the overall planning, development, and implementation of a large-scale project funded by the Trust which promotes inclusive employment for persons with disabilities, including but not limited to devising strategic directions and work plans, liaising with NGOs, university, and stakeholders in the private and public sectors to ensure effective project execution, monitoring the project budget, outputs and outcomes, compiling progress reports, delivering regular updates to Executives and/or Trustees,and ensuring that the project can achieve its desired social impact;
  • Develop and implement project governance and control to ensure effective project execution, including but not limited to handling matters related project partners and various taskforce group(s) where appropriate;
  • Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation, including but not limited to the Club's human resources, branding and public affairs, and/or government officials;
  • Perform other grant-making functions under the prioritised issue "Healthy Community" such as assessing donation applications' merits, budget and impact liaising with project partners and drafting approval papers;
  • Conduct research on social issues and community needs related to the prioritised issue "Healthy Community” such as literature review, policy analysis, data analysis and stakeholder engagement;
  • Handle other project management and administrative matters such as publicity, budget control, database maintenance, impact measurement, correspondence handling, record maintenance, and arrangement of meetings;
  • Supervise and provide coaching, guidance and support to members of the Project Team concerning effective implementation, risk management, internal and external communication in particular; and
  • Carry out other duties as directed by management.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of social sciences, social work or health-related disciplines
  • A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience with at least 5 years at senior level, preferably with exposure to NGOs, government, policy research, rehabilitation, public or social service settings
  • Prior experiences in project management and/or employment-related services will be a plus
  • Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese
  • Good data analytical skills
  • Commitment in diversity and inclusion
  • Passion, strong drive and career interest in charity work
  • Knowledge on government policies and insights on community service needs, particularly rehabilitation and services for persons with disabilities will be advantage

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
