Senior Manager, Communications

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

 

The Division

The Transformation Office (TO) plays a pivotal role in driving the transformation journey. Its purpose is to set the direction and cadence for transformation programs, ensuring the Club’s future growth and sustainability of its existence and developing into a healthy, high-performing organisation.

 

The Job

  • Enterprise Change & Transformation
    • Assist in developing and executing communication plans that support enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
    • Translate complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences.
    • Coordinate messaging across divisions to ensure consistency and alignment with the Club’s strategic direction.
    • Support leaders and change champions with communication toolkits and talking points.
  • Cultural Transformation & Organisational Engagement
    • Support the implementation of the Club’s transformation agenda by preparing communication materials such as FAQs, newsletters, presentations, and intranet content.
    • Collaborate with P&OD and business units to ensure timely and effective communication of change initiatives.
    • Support change management efforts through the development of engaging communication materials.
    • Help manage feedback channels to monitor employee sentiment and adjust messaging as needed.
  • Communications as an Enabler of Change
    • Work closely with the P&OD Communications team to deliver purpose-driven internal communications that inform, inspire, and align employees with the Club’s transformation journey.
    • Ensure agreed communication strategies are integrated into all major change programmes, enabling clarity, consistency, and connection across all levels of the Club.
    • Ensure initiatives are grounded in business context and employee experience.
    • Track communication deliverables and timelines for transformation projects.
    • Maintain documentation and support reporting on communication outcomes.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Head of Change Management and Engagement.

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in internal, change, or corporate communications
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in cross-cultural environments, especially across Hong Kong and Mainland China, is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with change management principles is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication platforms
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
