Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy and Business Planning

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Transformation Office (TO) plays a pivotal role in driving the transformation journey. Its purpose is to set the direction and cadence for transformation programs, ensuring the Club’s future growth and sustainability of its existence and developing into a healthy, high-performing organisation.

The Department

As part of the Transformation Office (TO), the Corporate Strategy and Business Planning Office (CSBPO) supports the CEO in driving Club‑wide corporate strategy development, integrated business planning, and transformation initiatives.

Job Summary

The job holder will play a key role in:

  • Shaping and driving the Club-wide annual Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process with key partners (Finance, HR)
  • Partnering with divisions to support the development of corporate KPIs and business plans
  • Supporting cross-functional corporate strategic or transformation projects, both in Hong Kong and/or Mainland China.

The job holder will also support additional projects or assignments based on supervisor's guidance and approval, in addition to the original duties and roles specified below. All team members should demonstrate agility, collaboration, accountability, result-orientation as part of the Club’s One Club One Team culture.

The Job

  • Club-wide Strategic-led IBP: Support Club‑wide annual IBP management in partnership with Finance and HR, including (but not limited to) orchestrating senior management workshops for direction setting and resource prioritization; shaping and enhancing the IBP approach, deliverables, timelines; and orchestrating efforts across stakeholder groups to ensure efficient and effective communication and implementation. Collaborate with partner divisions in strategic planning and KPI development and in driving / orchestrating Club-wide initiatives for the integrated business model of the Club.
  • Corporate KPIs management: Support quarterly corporate performance reviews and KPI reporting to facilitate corporate KPIs progress tracking and performance zoom-ins.
  • Corporate management governance: Provide support to CEO‑chaired Committee(s) management to facilitate visibility and alignment on strategic priorities / projects.
  • CEO-level Corporate Project Management: Support overall project management and PMO responsibilities of cross-divisional taskforce or projects for various initiatives for the Club.
  • Work with other CBSPO/TO team members and other divisions in corporate strategy development / orchestration and other corporate and business planning initiatives related to the Club’s integrated business model initiatives.
  • Support team development through coaching and capability building.

About You

  • Master's degree, preferably in a business related discipline.
  • About 8 - 12 years of work experience in leading consulting firms/ corporates/ institutions; experience in corporate strategy and business planning will be a plus.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Manager role.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen, with outstanding analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities plus attention to detail; and adept at translating complex ideas into clear, impactful storytelling.
  • Strong curiosity with a high learning aptitude, demonstrating the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and knowledge.
