Senior Manager, Finance (Wagering Products)
Job Summary
The job holder is to provide critical financial support and management information to enhance performance monitoring and strategic decision-making for Wagering Products Division. Key responsibilities include leading projects aimed at improving business efficiency, collaborating with functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions, and conducting financial budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. This job holder is integral to ensuring effective financial planning and reporting, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. This position demands engagement with diverse teams, facilitating continuous process improvements, and offering financial insights that drive transformation.
Major Tasks
- Lead, manage and advise on financial planning, forecasting and budgeting for the Wagering Products (WP) division overall, collaborating with other WP P&A teams, and liaising with the WP division stakeholders and budget holders, other Financial Controller teams and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis teams
- Provide financial insights on annual budget and quarterly forecast (e.g. cost saving opportunities) and ensure compliance of Corporate’s guidelines
- Ensure effective governance and control, and enforce adherence to Finance policies & SDA via review of contract terms, opex and capex funding requests, business case justifications, etc.
- Perform contract review (coordinating with the Business teams, Legal and Compliance, Security & Integrity, etc.) to ensure commercial terms are aligned with the Club’s interests and risks are assessed/highlighted/mitigated
- Develop and provide regular performance & profitability analyses and reports
- Support implementation of new business initiatives, including financial modelling, evaluation, risk assessment and results tracking
- Select, develop and retain top talent by providing the team with coaching, training, knowledge sharing / transfer
- Seek continuous efficiency improvements via streamlining processes and automation
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Accounting / Finance (Master degree a plus)
Qualifications
- Professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant are preferred
Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years relevant management experience in Finance, Sports Development or Data Analysis
- Knowledge of and interest in horse racing, football and wagering is a plus
- Extensive experience in business planning, financial analysis, management and financial accounting, compliance and control, project management and reporting.
- Strong business mind-set and commercial knowledge
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
